The goal of the EOSC is to develop a multidisciplinary research environment in Europe, in line with Open Science and based on cloud solutions, where researchers can publish, find and reuse data, tools and services, and thus - conduct research more efficiently.

On November 28, 2023, the European Commission’s DG Connect announced the winners of the public procurement tender “Managed Services for the European Open Science Cloud Platform (EOSC).” Two Polish entities were among the winners.

The EOSC Tripartite Event 2023 was held in Madrid as a hybrid meeting on 28 November 2023. The agenda featured key decision-making topics focused on solidifying the advancements achieved in shaping the future of EOSC beyond 2027.

The second EOSC Festival 2023 – National Tripartite Event Poland took place on 6 and 7 November at the National Science Centre headquarters in Krakow. Its attendees were stakeholders of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), who convened to discuss the situation of Open Science and the future of EOSC in Europe.

The EOSC Focus (Focusing on Open, Collaboration and Useful Science) project will support the co-programmed EOSC Partnership in delivering its mission of establishing Open Science as the “new normal” and achieving the key objectives, outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between the European Union and the EOSC Association.
