Project Objectives<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The objectives of the Skills4EOSC project are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Map career profiles related to Open Science and define, through co-creation the \u201cMinimum Viable Skillset\u201d (MVS) for each of them; create a shared framework for the recognition \nof competencies acquired by university students, trainers and new professionals as a part \nof an academic path or a lifelong learning process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Define a methodology and a Quality Assurance process to ensure the quality and relevance of OS learning materials and the management of their life-cycle, thus enhancing their \nre-usability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Offer training on OS and the usage of data in evidence-based policy for civil servants and\npolicymakers and empower CCs, researchers and \u201chonest brokers\u201d through the offering \nof resources to carry out training for this target.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Define \u201cOS and data-intensive science essentials\u201d for inclusion in generic undergraduate,\npostgraduate and PhD curricula as a key skill that anyone doing research is expected to acquire.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Design and implement a collaboration model between national and regional CCs and\ninternational Research Infrastructures and communities to provide specialised OS competencies targeting the needs of researchers and thematic RI professionals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Support lifelong learning through professional networks as an enabling environment to discuss, cocreate and exchange best practices and solutions among OS professionals and researchers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Coordinate national, regional and thematic Competence Centres on OS and EOSC in Europe\nand leverage their expertise to create a widespread user support network and an environment\nthat fosters and harmonises training and skills activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Create and implement a strategy for engaging with relevant stakeholders to co-create and\npromote the project outputs (Curricula, shared certification and QA frameworks, human networks), building partnerships to embed project activities and results among the broadest\nnetwork of stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Establish synergies with key actors within the Member States and in the EOSC arena, and with human capital and training programmes at the national, regional and European levels \nto maximise the impact of the project activities and results and pave the way for their long-term sustainability.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Tasks of the Polish Partner<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Polish partner is responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Interaction with the national competence centres and the Open Science environment including the interaction with the policy makers, education environment, and data-stewards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Provision of the necessary infrastructure to support the network of the Competence Centres.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Leading the task enabling synergies with national, regional, and EC programmes and funding\nstreams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Leading the task of design and implementation of co-creation procedures to establish \na feedback loop for the minimum viable skillsets as well as FAIR by design methodology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Leading the task responsible for producing recommendation on the sustainability options for the network of the Competence Centres.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Project objectives<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The AI4EOSC (Artificial Intelligence for the European Open Science Cloud) delivers
      an enhanced set of advanced services for the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) models and applications in the European Open<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Science Cloud (EOSC). These services are bundled together into a comprehensive platform providing advanced features such as distributed, federated and split learning; novel provenance metadata for AI\/ML\/DL models; event-driven data processing services
      or provisioning of AI\/ML\/DL services based on serverless computing. The project builds on top of the DEEP-Hybrid-DataCloud outcomes and the EOSC compute platform and services in order to provide this specialized computer platform. Moreover, AI4EOSC offers customization components in order to provide tailor made deployments of the platform, adapting to the evolving user needs. The main outcomes of the AI4EOSC project will be a measurable increase of the number of advanced, high level, customizable services available through the EOSC portal, serving as a catalyst for researchers, facilitating the collaboration, easing access to high-end pan-European resources and reducing the time to results; paired with concrete contributions to the EOSC exploitation perspective, creating a new channel to support the build-up of the EOSC Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning community of practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Tasks of the Polish partner<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) is particularly active in the area
      of application of the technologies in Agriculture, providing services for public administration, governmental bodies and farmers. As a respective partner of use case \u201cIntegrated plant protection scenario\u201d, together with Wielkopolska Agriculture Advisory Center will develop the AI based solution for the plant diseases recognition and integrate the outputs, as part of exploitation, into national advisory platform and offer the data also to other systems, validate the results also using the onsite observation network. PSNC is responsible for the impact work package, being one of the main liaison partner with other initiatives and the private sector. It is responsible also for the training activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
